At Kilt Republic, we stand behind everything we make. This page outlines exactly how our return process works so there are no surprises on either end.

Standard (Non-Custom) Orders — Return Eligibility

We offer a 20-day return window on all standard, non-custom orders. To be eligible for a return or exchange, the following conditions must be met:

  • Item must be in its original, unworn condition with all tags intact
  • Item must be returned in its original packaging
  • Shipping costs, taxes, and import duties for the return are the responsibility of the customer
  • Returns must be sent via an insured courier — uninsured returns cannot be accepted

If all conditions are met, you’ll receive a 100% refund of the product price or a full exchange, whichever you prefer.

Custom Orders — Non-Refundable

Because every custom kilt and kilt jacket is made exclusively to your specifications, the following applies to all custom and made-to-order products:

  • Custom orders are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
  • Worn or altered items cannot be returned under any circumstances — please inspect your item before wearing it
  • Orders of more than two items are non-refundable
  • If you need to cancel your order, you must notify us within 24 hours of placing it — cancellations requested after this window will not be eligible for a refund

Urgent Delivery Orders

If you opted for rush/urgent delivery, please be aware that delays can occasionally occur with custom or specialized items due to the nature of the manufacturing process. In such cases, Kilt Republic will not be held responsible for the delay, and standard return terms will not apply to shipping timeframes. By selecting urgent delivery, you accept these conditions.

How to Start a Return

Follow these steps to initiate a return:

  1. Contact us via the Contact Us page on our website or email our sales team directly
  2. In your message, include your full name, order number, email address used at checkout, and the item name or product URL
  3. Our team will respond within 48 hours with next steps and return instructions

Please do not send any items back before receiving confirmation from our team.

Refunds & Processing

  • Refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item
  • The refund will be issued to the same payment method used at the time of purchase
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
